On 17-19 May, the 17th conference of the Slovak Parking Association (SPA) took place in the High Tatras. It was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic. The main topic of the event was Parking in Cities. The conference was attended by 125 experts from local authorities, state and public administration, universities, parking operators, designers, manufacturers and suppliers of parking equipment and related services.
PosAm with its ParkDots parking system could not miss this conference. Our colleague Martin Ivančík presented the ParkDots product portfolio on concrete successful projects and also showed what we have been able to accomplish in the two and a half years since the last conference.
One of such exceptional projects is parking in Bratislava, which has already been discussed by representatives of the capital city. They presented the new parking policy, which has already been successfully applied in 5 urban zones and has the potential for further expansion.
In addition, the participants of the conference learned a lot of interesting information, discussed the amendments to the road traffic law, the (non)application of the institute of strict liability, and other problems that cities struggle with on a daily basis (e.g., the new ordinance on traffic signs, alternative transport – scooters parked in the middle of the sidewalks, the postponed ban on parking cars on sidewalks, etc.).
