The winner is “Kony” from Žilina The winner of the second year of the Dionýz Ilkovič Award, Ľubomír Konrád, teaches physics at the same gymnasium in Žilina, in the same classroom, where he himself started three decades ago. This year 50 candidates answered the call of PosAm to participate in the PosAm Full-stack Academy. 17 of them passed the initial screening. They were given the opportunity to participate in professional workshops. In addition to access to invaluable knowledge, they received a scholarship and job offer at PosAm. There are many teachers and volunteers in Slovakia who have been selflessly devoting themselves to students for decades. Their stories can help to improve the education system in Slovakia and correct the image of the teaching profession. The Dionýz Ilkovič Prize Is Heading To Michalovce

The Dionýz Ilkovič Prize is awarded by PosAm, a Slovak IT company which has long been promoting education-related activities. Nominations may be sent by anyone – students, their parents or peer teachers. Out of 54 application forms the jury selected three finalists who, in addition to Jozef Smrek, included also teachers from Bratislava and Prievidza.
