Our success story has been going on for 35 years

35 years have passed since the journey of PosAm began in 1990. We have grown into a leading Slovak IT company and we have done so with only a handful enthusiasts. It required a long-term vision, proper management, yet also a stroke of luck.

We are in an excellent condition. We are a mature, reliable company, with excellent financial results, and a team of elite experts. Routinely, and, with a great deal of confidence, we have tackled the latest technologies that rank our solutions at the very top of their tier.

Even after all these years, we continue to see new horizons beckoning us to explore. The constant flow of technological innovations brings new opportunities to improve our customers' businesses and to deliver them solutions of the highest usability. Our enthusiasm for these advancements is what keeps us on track.

1990
Establishment of PosAm. To date, there are three employees in the company who have been with us from the beginning. That year, the company achieved revenue of some EUR 85,500, calculated from the former Czechoslovak koruna.
1991
We sold 75 Apple personal computers. HP printers and plotters were also added to the company’s portfolio.
1994
We acquired a project in the company Slovenské elektrárne. Later in 1996, we implemented an office information system for this client.
1995
The sale of personal computers at PosAm accelerated, and in 5 years the number of installations reached 1,900.
1996
We started to supply for the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic an application for the state budget called Budgetary Information System (RIS). At that time, the Ministry of Finance used for the preparation and administration of the state budget traditional methods such as pencils and large sheets of paper.
1998
We achieve the highest levels of certification from Lotus Development, Inc.: Principal Level and Certified Lotus Professional. They documented a top level of development on the Lotus platform. The quality of PosAm products was also confirmed by the fact that all solutions were "Lotus certified".
1999
We became the largest seller of HP personal computers in Slovakia. As the company also grew in the number of employees every year, it invested 26 million SKK in the construction of a new building.
2000
PosAm already reached 10 successful years in a row. During all that years, we were among the top ten IT companies in Slovakia. For our clients and employees, we offered much nicer but especially more efficient premises in a new building in Bratislava on Odborárska Street.
2001
We supplied our customer, Allianz – Slovenská poisťovňa, a.s., with the Allegro information system, which the insurance company used for the sale of insurance products.
2003
We launched a successful collaboration with the Data Centre of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic. Our team is responsible for the operation and ongoing development of the access infrastructure for the ministry’s financial information systems, as well as for the operation of the Budget Information System.
2004
We put into operation the communication and technological infrastructure for the State Treasury of the Slovak Republic We managed this task during the full operation of the State Treasury.
2005
For Allianz – Slovenská poisťovňa, we implemented the ProLik solution, which brought a revolutionary change to the settlement of motor vehicle insurance claims – shifting the process from insurance companies directly to car repair shops. The result is a faster and more convenient experience.


We also became the first Slovak company to receive the “Recognized for Excellence in Europe” award, based on an international audit carried out in accordance with the EFQM Excellence Model.
2006
PosAm carried out the outsourced Operational Support of Terminal Equipment in Slovenské elektrárne, a.s. The nationwide coverage and the model of taking over the customer personnel brought significant positive results for both parties after less than a year of providing the service. It was possible to reduce customer costs by 30% and improve the quality of services provided, which was appreciated by up to 95% of users.
2007
We managed the processes in our company at a high level, which was confirmed by obtaining internationally accredited certifications ISO 20000 for services and ISO 27001 for information security. In this combination, our company was the first company in the information technology segment from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
2008
We implemented a consolidation project for KIA Motors Slovakia, where we put into operation the most modern storage equipment from Hitachi Data Systems and contributed to ensuring continuous production operations.
2010
We successfully deployed the PosAm Servio solution for our first customer – the Air Navigation Services of the Slovak Republic.


PosAm became part of Deutsche Telekom (DTAG).
2011
We successfully implemented a solution at Tatra banka that enabled electronic document signing and identity verification through a digitized handwritten signature with biometric features.
2012
At VSE, we implemented a solution for field workforce management. A previously complex, paper-based process of handling work orders was transformed into an automated and fully digital workflow. The system ensures that the right employees – equipped with the appropriate tools and expertise – are assigned to the right tasks at the right time, enabling them to deliver optimal performance.
2013
The Data Centre for Towns and Municipalities (DCOM) – the first private cloud designed for local governments – enabled the digitalization of public administration services and improved the efficiency of local service management.


We introduced VIAMO to the market – a fast and efficient mobile payment solution for cashless transactions.
2014
We launched the Financial Statements Register for the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic.

For Slovak Telekom, we delivered Telekom Cloud – the first public cloud solution in Slovakia.
2015
We became the third largest provider of operational IT services in Slovakia.
2016
We delivered a new system for managing sales channels for Západoslovenská energetika, a.s.
2017
We launched the Dionýz Ilkovič Award. Each year, the public can nominate teachers and nonteaching staff for the Dionýz Ilkovič Award for the development of extracurricular activities for primary and secondary school pupils.
2018
We successfully deployed our insurance claims management solution also for a Czech client – Generali Česká pojišťovna.


Commander Services, s. r. o. – the leader in vehicle GPS monitoring on the Slovak market – became a wholly owned subsidiary of PosAm, spol. s r. o.
2023
Slovak Telekom has sold its 51 % stake in PosAm, which it owned since 2010. From March 3rd, 2023, PosAm again operates independently on the Slovak ICT market. Slovak Telekom agreed on the buyback of the company’s share directly with its founder and CEO Marián Marek.
2019
The Dionýz Ilkovič Foundation was established with the aim of not only providing moral recognition to teachers, but also improving the material conditions for working with talented students in the field of natural sciences.
2021
We implemented the ParkDots urban parking system in Bratislava.
2022
At the end of November 2022, PosAm sold its subsidiary Commander Services, the market leader in vehicle monitoring.
2023
In March 2023, Slovak Telekom Group – the majority owner of PosAm – exited the company’s ownership structure. A 51% stake was acquired by Marián Marek, the company’s founder and CEO. After 13 years, PosAm returned to operating independently on the market.


In the same year, PosAm relocated its headquarters to Pribinova 40 – one of the main business hubs in Bratislava.
2024
At ČEZ Distribuce, we implemented a next-generation field workforce management solution. Leveraging AI and mathematical optimization, the system manages approximately 250 dispatchers and 2,000 technicians, processing over 2.5 million work orders annually.
2025
For 35 years, we’ve been transforming innovative technologies into real value for our customers – and we still love doing it. :)
