										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Slovak Telekom Group has announced a further change in its structure. Slovak Telekom has sold its 51% stake in PosAm &#8211; which it owned since 2010 &#8211; and as a result, PosAm will once again operate independently on the Slovak ICT market from March 3rd, 2023.</p>
<p>Slovak Telekom agreed on the buyback of 51% of the company&#8217;s share directly with its founder and CEO Marián Marek. However, the sale of PosAm does not prevent Slovak Telekom and PosAm looking for opportunities for effective cooperation on selected projects in the future. PosAm is not the first company that Slovak Telekom has sold in the recent period. In June 2020, Slovak Telekom also sold its 100% stake in Zoznam.</p>
<p><strong>Change after 13 years</strong></p>
<p>Through buying the majority share in one of the ICT market leaders – PosAm &#8211; Slovak Telekom planned to acquire competences in a new segment in 2010, and to offer clients a more comprehensive range of services &#8211; including infrastructure and application solutions. Over the subsequent decade, several successful solutions were created in cooperation between the two companies. Examples include the first large Slovak public cloud under the Telekom brand in 2011 &#8211; built and operated by PosAm.</p>
<p>Examples of key innovations developed in recent years include the ParkDots parking application &#8211; which Deutsche Telekom chose in 2018 for its Smart City portfolio, and with which PosAm &#8211; in cooperation with Czech T-Mobile in 2020 &#8211; went on to win the competition for the largest city parking project in Pardubice.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;PosAm was the second successful acquisition in the history of the Group, and at the given time helped us to develop our ICT activities and expansion in this area. During 13 years of joint synergies, both companies have mutually advanced in ICT and managed to establish themselves in the segment of cloud solutions and &#8211; most recently &#8211; in the parking solutions segment. We truly appreciate the previous years and our joint work on several important projects. Currently, the composition and structure of our Group&#8217;s business is partially changing, and we are focusing on new technological challenges such as the construction of optics and the next generation of mobile networks. For the B2B segment, we have a comprehensive range of connectivity and solutions on offer under the T Biznis identity. We continue to see PosAm as an important player in the field of ICT, and we wish PosAm further success in the market,&#8221; summed up <strong>Pavel Hadrbolec, CFO of the Slovak Telekom Group</strong>.</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Thirteen years of close cooperation within the Deutsche Telekom group gave us a lot of experience, and enabled us to have a more intensive insight into foreign markets. Together, we managed to implement several large projects, and to develop the robust ParkDots urban parking system &#8211; which is today the most used parking solution in Slovakia. We additionally gained new knowledge and partnerships in the field of infrastructure and storage systems. <p><strong>PosAm: No changes in our strategic direction and product portfolio</strong></p>
<p>PosAm is one of the oldest ICT companies in Slovakia – having been established in 1990, and in the following two decades having developed into one of the leading system integrators in Slovakia. In 2010, PosAm became part of the Slovak Telekom Group which forms part of the international Deutsche Telekom group. As of March 3rd, 2023, PosAm was separated from the structure of Slovak Telekom in the form of a management buyout. Marián Marek will once again become the majority owner, and the members of the management team will become minority shareholders.</p>
<p>PosAm covers the information system for managing public finances and the register of financial statements for the Ministry of Finance, complex information systems for the Allianz insurance company, and several contracts in the field of IT outsourcing for Tatra banka, Slovenské elektrárne, Stredoslovenská distribučná, SPP-distribution, and other important companies on the market. Among the latest acquisitions is a project at ČEZ Distribuce which uses advanced mathematical optimizations to manage the work of 250 dispatchers and 2,000 distribution network technicians in the field on a daily basis.</p>

<p>Pracovné príkazy dostáva pracovník priamo na svoje mobilné zariadenie. Pri rozhodovaní, komu sa pracovný príkaz pridelí, sa berú do úvahy údaje o dostupnosti pracovníkov, ich pracovné zaradenie a kompetencie a tiež rozvrh úloh a plán ciest po regióne.</p>
<p>Pri inštaláciách, kontrolách, výmenách, alebo odpočtoch sú všetky údaje snímané automaticky. Informácie o klientovi, odbernom mieste, alebo spotrebe načítava sonda a prenáša do mobilnej aplikácie. Celý proces sa to výrazne zrýchľuje a eliminuje sa chybovosť.</p>
<p>Keďže v teréne sa pohybuje až 80 ľudí, ktorí musia vykonať až 100 tisíc požiadaviek ročne a mesačne zaznamenť 30-50 tisíc odpočtov spotreby, je ich efektívny manažment veľmi dôležitý. Implementácia systému optimalizovala interné procesy, zlepšila kontrolu a uľahčila prácu zamestnancom v teréne. Výsledkom sú nižšie náklady, vyššie výkony a kvalitnejšia obsluha zákazníkov.</p>

<p><strong>O Východoslovenskej distribučnej</strong></p>
<p>Východoslovenská distribučná je energetická spoločnosť, poskytujúca komplexné služby spojené s distribúciou a dodávkou elektriny. Vyše 1500 zamestnancov spravuje viac ako 600 tisíc odberných miest a temer 21 000 kilometrov sietí. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The PosAm workforce management system has changed the complicated paper process of work orders to an automated and electronic process. Planning of work, redistribution of work orders, recording of data, transmission of data to central systems, everything is done in an electronic form.</p>
<p>Work orders are delivered directly to mobile devices of employees. When deciding to whom a work order is assigned, availability of staff, their position and competence should be considered, as well as their task schedule and the road map of the region.</p>
<p>For installations, inspections, exchanges or readings, all data is automatically taken. Client details, data on points of delivery or consumption are collected with a probe and transmitted to the mobile application. Thus, the whole process is accelerated significantly and failures are eliminated.</p>
<p>With up to 80 people in the field that have to address up to 100,000 requests per year and to record 30-50,000 consumption readings per month, their effective management is very important. Implementation of the system optimized internal processes, improved their control and facilitated work for field employees. It resulted in lower costs, higher performance and better services for customers.</p>
<p>&#8220;This system has brought a break in the work management in the field of work orders,&#8221; said Ing. Peter Kopčák, Head of Measurement and Control Dept. on PosAm workforce management system for VSD.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>An initial meeting of consortium representatives of the TOOP (The Once Only Principle) project from 21 European countries took place in Tallinn, Estonia´s capital, at the end of January. This project was initiated by the European Commission on 1 January 2017 within the Horizon 2020 programme in order to ensure implementation of “The Once Only Principle”.</p>
<p>The TOOP project is part of the EU eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020 and will contribute towards increasing the efficiency of the Digital Single Market. The goal of TOOP is to allow cross-border cooperation among public authorities and promote the business activities of companies across borders. This step eliminates unnecessary burdens for European companies which are asked to present the same data and documents repeatedly.</p>
<p>PosAm is a representative of Slovakia in the consortium. Its experts contributed also in the planning and preparation of the project. “When working on the TOOP project, we will use our experience and knowledge from introducing The Once Only Principle in Slovakia. We have only recently celebrated the third anniversary of introducing PosAm´s <a href="http://www.registeruz.sk/cruz-public/domain/accountingentity/simplesearch">Register účtovných závierok</a> (Registry of Financial Statements) system. The aim was to introduce this principle into the communication of economic operators with public authorities,” says Peter Kolesár, a director for public authorities at PosAm.</p>
<p>PosAm is also a coordinator for Slovak public institutions that will participate in the pilot project. Presently, the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic are participating in it. For maximum effect of “The Once Only Principle”, also other institutions will be gradually invited to participate.</p>
<p><strong>Three pilot projects</strong></p>
<p>The introduction of “The Once Only Principle” across countries will first be tested in three pilot projects. These will be cross-border electronic services for business mobility, updating connected company data, and on-line access to ship and crew certificates for ship transport. In these pilots up to 60 information systems from 21 European countries can be inter-connected. The pilots will not only test the proposed architecture and technologies but also help administrations and businesses to speed up service provision and enable SMEs to operate easily within the EU Digital Single Market.</p>
<p><strong>Connecting to existing programmes and initiatives</strong></p>
<p>The TOOP project has the ultimate goal of developing a proposal for innovative federative architecture enabling the inter-connection and cooperation of particular national registries and systems at a Europe-wide level. This architecture will support the cross-border cooperation of public authorities in particular European countries and international business activities. For this purpose, TOOP will consider the possibilities of existing EU frameworks (EIRA, EIF) and the use of existing IT components (so-called Building Blocks) developed within the e-SENS project and operated as Digital Services Infrastructures of the Connecting Europe Facility.</p>

Quickly fulfilling customers&#8217; requirements, but also quickly introducing new products onto the market. Removing any barriers to selling anywhere in the sales network and the ability to provide services in any location, is the strategic priority of the insurance company. High quality application support during sales is a necessary prerequisite for achieving these goals.</p>
<p>When creating the broker solution, PosAm utilized a completely new approach towards the sale of the products themselves. It should reflect the need to build trust relationships between the insured and the insurer based on quality services and transparent information, so the entire solution was tailored to this end.</p>
<p>Refined interface of the “wizard type&#8221;, focused on the assisted experiential sales, has brought a new dimension into the sales process and gives the opportunity to involve a prospective client in the preparation and modelling of the insurance. The interactivity of this process contributes to a significant enhancement in service provision and customer satisfaction.</p>
<p>In addition to improving sales support, PosAm has also focused on delivering products more effectively to the market. For this purpose PosAm designed a new technology layer that consolidates these processes in individual sales channels into a common platform. The unique solution in the insurance market provides full configurability of sales products, enables very fast and effective changes to computational algorithms and also unlimited product segmentation for specific sales networks, or individual salespersons. This approach reduces the time to market new products and also reduces costs.</p>

He completed his study at the University of Economics in Bratislava back in 1997. Today, as a manager in a successful IT company, he felt an obligation to his Alma mater: <em>“I’d like to express my pride at being a graduate of the University of Economics and I am glad that I could at least in this way give back to the school some of what it gave me. Apart from a quality education, I had the chance at a time when it was hardly common to take part in a study sojourn abroad, which greatly helped me in my further career growth. I hope that the modern equipment will help improve the quality of tuition so that students are better prepared for the challenges they will face in life.”</em></p>
<p>On behalf of the Faculty of Economic Informatics of the University of Economics, attendees were welcomed to the opening of the lab by Dean Professor Ivan Brezina, CSc., who appreciated not only PosAm’s support, but also underlined future possibilities of co-operation: <em>“I want to thank the company PosAm, which understands the situation that the school system, including our university, finds itself in, and for helping us secure the equipment for this lab. I firmly believe in future co-operation for the benefit of our students, whether it is in lecturing, the planned renewal of accreditation of the curriculum of Economic informatics, or even in the preparation of new subjects.”</em></p>
<p>Interest in long-term co-operation was also confirmed by PosAm CEO, Marián Marek: <em>“We know the state of the school system in Slovakia is not exactly how we would like it and I see it as only natural that we help if we can. I believe that the opening of this lab is the first step to our potential co-operation and that with mutual interest we can ensure its continuation. One key area that our company resolves is information support for elaborating the state budget. It is a topic that is close to the University of Economics and I see scope here for the most intensive co-operation possible, whether concerning methodology or expertise. In addition to the subject of budgeting, students may also be interested in our experience in the field of programming, methodology of software development, or project management.”</em></p>
<p>Renewing the equipment of the computer lab at the Faculty of Economic Informatics of the University of Economics in Bratislava is a logical continuation of the activities of PosAm, which seeks opportunities to support the development of new talent. The main focus is on mathematics, physics, informatics and robotics.</p>
<p>The company is active, for example, in the project called Nemaj na saláme (trans: Don’t be indifferent), which helps secondary school students in making their decision on what and where to study. The aim is for them to choose a field of study accounting for labour market opportunities.</p>
<p>PosAm supports also the association Trojsten, whose members organise competitions and common education for gifted secondary school students in mathematics, physics and informatics.</p>
<p>Even PosAm’s involvement in forming the social environment in which it does business was one of the reasons why it was recently declared National Champion in the European Business Award. One of the most important criteria in this competition, in addition to innovation and success, was precisely compliance to ethic principles and the benefit to its business environment.</p>

This is the tenth time the prize has been awarded, with over 33,000 companies from 34 European countries competing for a　nomination this year.</p>
<p>The title of national champion is awarded to companies based on evaluation of seven criteria. An expert panel assessed each company on, for example, its innovations, ethical profile, quality of relations with business partners and long-term strategy, while accounting for company flexibility and reliability upon rapidly changing market conditions.</p>
<p>In the next phase the judging panel will decide on the holders of the title  Ruban D&#8217;Honneur, which means ten finalists for each category. Among them will be determine the winners in the next stage of the competition. In parallel with the decision of the judging panel will proceed to the public voting for the titles National Public Champion and European Champion Public.</p>
<p>PosAm attracted attention with its story and uncompromising results.</p>
<p>A key part of PosAm’s victory in its category can be attributed to the company’s history, which has seen it develop useful technologies for over 25 years. In that time it has transformed from a small green field company into a respected corporation. It now enjoys 5th place among system integrators in Slovakia when comparing gross margin (source: Trend TOPin Information technologies, May 2016). In 2014, the company generated record revenue (more than EUR　47 million) – a year-on-year growth of 30%. In 2015, PosAm produced a record gross margin in excess of EUR 19 million (source: Annual Report). In addition to excellent financial results, the company boosted its position in key segments and competences.</p>
<p>The most significant projects of PosAm in the assessed period include the Data Centre of Towns and Villages (DCOM), which the company as the consortium leader handed over for use at the end of 2015. DCOM gives regional and local government (currently 1 511 municipalities) a comprehensive package of IT services. With establishment of the DCOM project, PosAm became the only company on the Slovak market with two references to large cloud solutions. Its second project was the public cloud for the largest telecommunications operator in Slovakia &#8211; Slovak Telekom.</p>
<p>PosAm also greatly advanced its position in the provision of IT outsourcing. By taking over administration of End User Services in Slovakia’s third largest bank, PosAm became the third largest IT outsourcing provider in the country in 2015. The quality of PosAm’s IT services is proven also by the award Supplier of the year 2015, which it received from Tatra banka.</p>
<p>The stability and competency of the company is attested to also by this year’s 20th anniversary of the development and operation of the Budget Information System. The system is used by the Ministry of Finance SR for running the state budget. Since its establishment, the BIS has helped transform public finances of the whole country. It now provides full support to budgetary processes for almost 5 000 entities on all levels of public administration. The BIS is a unique solution in the CEE region, to say the least.</p>
<p>PosAm’s inclusion to the shortlist can be partially put down to the company’s activity in the field of employee support, customer care and activities aimed at corporate social responsibility.</p>

It is the largest and most significant multi-segment pan-European competition that tries to identify and promote excellence. <p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">Representatives of the Macedonian government who are looking for ways to improve the functioning of public administration are keenly interested in the DCOM project. They were inspired by the functioning model and modern solution, which raises the standard of IT infrastructure of towns and villages, improves the ways information technologies can be used for civil servants, citizens and the whole of public administration, while making electronic services available to citizens. As part of the lively discussion, consultants from PosAm spoke about the company’s wealth of experience with various aspects of preparing for and implementing such an extensive, complex and sophisticated solution.</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">The Macedonian Minister of Information Society and Administration, Marta Arsovska Tomovska, who is responsible also for digital transformation and administrative reform in the country, became acquainted in detail with the functioning example of eGovernment in Slovakia. The excellence of the DCOM project is proven not just by the strong interest of participants at the meeting, but also by several Slovak and international awards.</p>
<p>“We are happy to have had the possibility to present the DCOM project to representatives of the Macedonian government and partners from Makedonski Telekom. I am confident that the solution would prove to be a benefit for citizens and local government alike, also under Macedonian conditions”, said PosAm’s Project Manager for DCOM, Roman Jedinák, after the meeting.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">In June 2016, PosAm successfully completed the first stage of implementing a new system for sales management in ZSE Energia. We introduced four key changes to the company’s product sales: complete transition to paperless processes, preparation of quality personalised offers in real time,　detailed management and control of the whole sales process and simplification of processes at branches and in the field.</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">Paperless processes accelerated contract activation by weeks</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">An important issue concerning the switch to paperless processes is how to resolve expressions of will, i.e. the signing of contracts and other documents. PosAm implements the technology of digital handwritten signatures for the signing of electronic documents. This means that although the customer is signing using their hand, instead of paper and pen a special signing pad or tablet is used. They not only scan the graphic form of the signature, but also its biometric characteristics. From the perspective of guaranteed authenticity, a signature created using this technology has the same quality as a signature by pen on paper. It is practically impossible to falsify and any attempt is forensically identified (forensic document examination).</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">Thanks to the paperless process when entering into contracts, data are immediately transferred to the central system without the need to transcribe them from paper versions. We therefore managed to cut the time from signing a contract to its execution from weeks to just days, or even hours. At the same time, we eliminated the costs for processing and archiving paper documents, minimised errors and, of course, generated substantial savings on paper and printing.</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">Personalised offers increased seller success, multichannel support increased their agility</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">Before signing the contract itself, however, you have to choose the right product. The new system from PosAm introduces an important change also in this part of the sales process. The use of preprepared standard paper contracts were replaced by personalised offers, which take into account the individual needs of the customer. We achieved this new function by combining sales and the CRM system and by elaborating a sophisticated business logic. It takes into account information about the customer, their history (products, contracts, invoices, consumption and so on), as well as the current product portfolio of ZSE.</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">It is important that we ensure the same functionality for the field sales team as the branches enjoy. This uniform process and the same application support for various sales channels and sales points produces many positive effects. The sales force received a modern and powerful tool for preparing offers, while the inclusion of new products for sale is greatly simplified and accelerated, with lower costs and better sales results.</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">Efficient management and control improved the sales process</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">For ZSE Energia managers to have the whole process under control, we equipped them with a strong mechanism for managing sellers and product campaigns. The system registers the assignment of customers to individual sales representatives, records sales activity and evaluates the effectiveness of individual sellers and campaigns. This has a positive impact on the effectiveness of sales and on attaining the company&#8217;s business goals.</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">A system that pushes ZSE Energia to the top</p>
<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">The energy business today is incomparable to what it was ten years ago and the whole sector stands at the threshold of major change. We are witnessing change in global trends, economics, geopolitics, and the rise of new technologies, while customer behaviour and expectations are changing. Energy companies await transformation from being mere suppliers of commodities to providers of comprehensive energy solutions. The high standard of customer care and the ability to provide quality advice and services will be crucial to achieving this goal.</p>
<p>The new system of management and product sales also helps ZSE Energia confront this challenge in the face of growing competition. “PosAm was able to synchronise its technology with our systems to create a single harmonious whole that would bring a new standard and quality to our sales and service processes. At a time when mobility is ever present, it is crucial that thanks to the multichannel solution we can provide customers with the same quality of services across all sales-service channels, as well as at home in the case of a personal visit” adds Rajmund Rédvai, Head of Retail Section from ZSE Energia.</p>

Having a better understanding of the demands and expectations of customers in the digital era helps insurers prepare their product innovations, improves the effectiveness of sales channel management, optimises activities as part of individual phases of the sales cycle, boosts customer satisfaction, and in the end assists them also in achieving their business goals.</p>
