Winner of the tender of SSE with Hitachi Unified Storage VM

PosAm continues with its success stories in the supply of enterprise storage solutions. After implementing the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform for Tatrabanka (2011) and Slovak Telekom (2012), the company PosAm succeeded again this year with solutions from Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) against tough competition from IBM, EMC and HP. In June 2013 its victory was confirmed in the tender for Stredoslovenská energetika (SSE).

Just as in previous years, once again the tender concerned a system for critical company applications, this time the Hitachi Unified Storage VS (HUS-VM). It will have a capacity of 80TB and will be housed at two geographically distant localities. For the optimisation of output, costs and utilisation, the solution will make great use of virtualisation and tiering. Part of the tender is to develop the SAN infrastructures with technology from the company Brocade.

If a company is seeking a storage solution for key company applications, it does not have many options available. The systems from Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) have their undeniable place in this small leading group in the world. The technical and economic parameters of these systems can be attributed to the growing market share also on the Slovak market with enterprise storage solutions. To a large extent, though, this is also attributable to PosAm, as its specialists provide a complete palette of professional services from initial consultations, to the design and implementation of solutions, and providing local support.

PosAm makes more than 90% of its sales volume of Hitachi Data Systems in Slovakia and in 2012 it won the award TOP EMEA Growth Partner of the Year 2011 as the fastest growing partner in the EMEA region. This award reaffirms the position of PosAm as a leading system integrator for the field of storage solutions and services.

Slovak Telekom sells its stake in PosAm subsidiary

Slovak Telekom Group has announced a further change in its structure. Slovak Telekom has sold its 51% stake in PosAm – which it owned since 2010 – and as a result, PosAm will once again operate independently on the Slovak ICT market from March 3rd, 2023. Slovak Telekom agreed on the buyback of 51% of the company’s share directly with its founder and CEO Marián Marek. However, the sale of PosAm does not prevent Slovak Telekom and PosAm looking for opportunities for effective cooperation on selected projects in the future. […]

PosAm workforce management systém zmenil zložitý papierový proces vybavovania pracovných príkazov na automatizovaný a elektronický postup. Plánovanie prác, prerozdeľovanie pracovných príkazov, zaznamenávanie údajov, prenos dát do centrálnych systémov, všetko prebieha v elektronickej podobe.
